SAN DIEGO-Overcoming a see-saw battle on the scoreboard, the Point Loma Sea Lions (11-5 overall) ripped off four singles victories, including the final two matches of the evening, to complete a 4-3 comeback over the Texas A&M Kingsville Javelinas Wednesday (6-5 overall) night on the PLNU Tennis Courts.
Point Loma dropped the doubles point after losses on courts 1 and 3, but
Samantha Neilson and
Angelique Friedrich's pairing grabbed the 7-6 win in the tiebreak just as the Javelinas clinched the point.
The Sea Lions quickly evened the match up behind

Tied at 1, Point Loma grabbed the lead for a moment as

Angelique Friedrich was also in a marathon after going to the tie break for a 7-6 win in her first set.
Audelo finished first, roaring back with 6-2, 6-3 wins in the final two sets to tie the match at 3-3.
At that point, after dropping the 2
nd set 1-6, Friedrich had bounced back to take a commanding 5-1 lead on court three, sealing everything as her opponent's final return sailed long, to give Point Loma the thrilling 4-3 victory.
Point Loma returns to PacWest play on Friday hosting the University of Hawai'i Hilo at 4:00 pm on the PLNU Tennis Courts.
