SAN DIEGO– The Point Loma Sea Lions (8-4 overall) carried plenty of momentum into Saturday's 7-0 win over Colorado Mesa University Mavericks (4-8 overall) at the Point Loma Tennis Courts.
The Sea Lions' whole team was on display for the second consecutive day as they didn't drop a single point.
It started in doubles as the familiar pairing of
Samantha Neilson and
Angelique Friedrich quickly grabbed a 6-1 win on court 2.
The newest pairing of
Arianna Audelo and
Rachel Whittington mirrored their score, 6-1, to secure the doubles point for the Sea Lions.
Sami Neilson kicked singles play into high gear with a dominant sweep win over her opponent on court 4. Neilson did not surrender a single game in 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Following suit, her partner Friedrich won in her singles match with two quick sets, 6-2, 6-0, to add another point for the Sea Lions.
Audelo was next to tally a win with a perfect second set, 6-2, 6-0, securing the overall team win.
Despite being up 4-0, the team stayed focused as Sepulveda and Pearson both added individual wins with the 5
th court the last one still playing
Amanda Letzring added the final singles win, 6-1 in both sets, marking her third victory in a row.

The Sea Lions will continue their homestand Tuesday, March 8th with a PacWest foe, Fresno Pacific University at 10:00 am.
The Sea Lions brace for a busy week after that as well hosting Bowling Green on Thursday, Michigan Tech on Friday, and Holy Names Saturday.
