(AZUSA, Calif.) PLNU Men's Basketball's record 33-game PacWest regular season winning streak has finally come to an end.
Azusa Pacific beat Point Loma, 83-76, on Tuesday evening to hand the Sea Lions their first conference loss since Jan. 20, 2022.
APU led by 11 with 5:30 left in the first half, before PLNU responded with a 19-5 run to take a three-point halftime lead on a
Tyce Paulsen 3-pointer.

Coby Barnes jumper then pushed Point Loma's advantage to as many as nine at the 16:41 mark. However, the Cougars put together a 19-5 run of their own over the next six minutes to regain their lead.
PLNU got back to within a single point on six different occasions but was unable to overturn its deficit, as the hosts came away with a seven-point victory.
Zack Paulsen (21 points) led four Sea Lions in double figures, as he put together his second-straight 20-plus point game and third in his last four.
Wynton Brown nearly posted a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Tyce Paulsen (17 points) and
Jake Lifgren (13 points) also scored double-digit points.
Point Loma (7-4 overall, 2-1 PacWest) returns to the court on Dec. 30 when PLNU hosts Chaminade inside Golden Gym at 4 p.m.
