(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Men's Tennis was named PacWest Team of the Week and
Tyler Davis was selected as the PacWest Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Later that day, Davis and the Sea Lions showed exactly why.

Davis won his sixth-straight straight singles contest while remaining unbeaten in doubles this year, as Point Loma was victorious in its seventh-consecutive match, a 6-1 win over visiting Hawaii Hilo.

Alexander Leischner clinched the doubles point for PLNU with their 6-2 win at No. 1, which followed up a 6-2 victory from
Fabian Penzkofer and
Elias Weeks at No. 2.

Alejandro Castaneda and
Nabeel Khan led 4-3 at No. 3 when the doubles point was already decided.

Davis was then one of five Sea Lions to win in singles, all in straight sets, with his 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 2.

David Strassburger won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5 in the first singles match to finish, followed by Davis' win and Penzkofer's 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3.

Khan claimed a 6-4, 6-1 triumph at No. 6, before Leischner rounded out PLNU's scoring with his comprehensive 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1.

Point Loma (9-1 overall) will look to reach double-digit victories on the season when the Sea Lions host Navy on Friday at 3 p.m.
