(SAN DIEGO) No. 12 PLNU Men's Basketball began the PLNU Thanksgiving Classic with a 82-68 victory over Seattle Pacific on Friday inside Golden Gym.

After a high-scoring first half, which saw Point Loma take a 47-44 halftime advantage, the Sea Lions clamped down defensively in the second half to win by double digits.

PLNU limited SPU to just 24 points in the second half, including an over five-minute stretch where the Sea Lions held the Falcons scoreless. Those 24 points are the fewest Point Loma has allowed in a second half this season.

Luke Haupt scored a season-high 27 points on 10-for-15 shooting, while
Coby Barnes (14 points) and
Jaden Matingou (12 points) also scored in double figures.

Point Loma (7-1 overall) concludes non-conference play on Saturday at 4 p.m., when the Sea Lions host Central Washington in the final game of the PLNU Thanksgiving Classic.
