Andrew Suver and
Niclas Goltz of PLNU Men's Tennis qualified for the Round of 16 in singles after day one of the ITA West Regional Championships in Azusa.

Suver, seeded fifth, rolled in straight sets in his two matches, defeating Sam Bergstrand of APU (6-1, 6-2) in the Round of 64 before handling Romain Payan of Colorado Mesa (6-1, 6-4) in the Round of 32.

Goltz beat Martin Ramirez of Fresno Pacific in the opening round, winning in a super tiebreak (6-4, 4-6, 10-3), before taking care of Spencer Cinco of Concordia (6-4, 6-0) in the Round of 32.

Finn Kirschner and
David Fisinger also won their first-round matches in singles before falling in the Round of 32.

In doubles, Suver teamed up with Fisinger to reach the quarterfinals, starting off with a victory in the Round of 32 over Enzo Inghiterra and Alejandro Jimenez Gomez of Metro State, 8-7 (7-4). They then cruised past sixth-seeded Diego De Cooman and Austin Stone of Westmont, 8-4.

Nabeel Khan and
Elias Weeks also won their opening round match in doubles, dominating Menlo's pairing of Tanguy Calicis and Asger Emil Ildor, 8-1. They were then defeated by eighth-seeded Felix Veyhle and Max Mueller of Concordia in the Round of 16.
