(AZUSA, Calif.) Andrew Suver and David Fisinger placed second in doubles at the ITA West Regional Championships on Saturday, marking the third-straight season that PLNU Men's Tennis has had a doubles finalist at the fall regional tournament.
 
After defeating the third seed in the quarterfinals on Friday, Suver and Fisinger prevailed in the semifinals over second-seeded William Leschig and Henry Scheck of Colorado Mesa, 8-4.

Their run through the tournament was ultimately ended in the championship, 7-8 (4-7) in a tiebreak, by eighth-seeded Felix Veyhle and Max Mueller of Concordia.

Suver and Fisinger are the third Sea Lions pairing to place second in the last three years. Alexander Leischner and Fabian Penzkofer finished as regional runner-up in 2022, while Leischner and Nabeel Khan did the same in 2023.
 
Niclas Goltz advanced the furthest of any Sea Lion in singles, reaching the quarterfinals before falling to Soeren Grandke of Azusa Pacific, who advanced all the way to the championship.
