(LA MIRADA, Calif.) PLNU Women's Basketball had its 11-game winning streak and best ever start to PacWest play end on Thursday night at Biola, with the Eagles overcoming a fourth-quarter deficit to hand the Sea Lions their first conference loss of the season, 73-65.

Point Loma took a 38-30 lead into halftime before
Alli McDonald put PLNU up by 11 early in the third quarter.

A 12-1 Biola run then tied the game before Point Loma answered right back by scoring the next seven points.

PLNU held a four-point advantage entering the fourth, but the Eagles opened the final quarter with a 9-0 stretch and maintained their lead the rest of the way, despite the Sea Lions getting to within two on multiple occasions following
Kaylee Byon baskets.

Tavia Rowell led Point Loma with 16 points, while McDonald and Byon each scored 15 points apiece.

PLNU's 11-game winning stretch was its second longest in its NCAA era, trailing only the 13 consecutive victories achieved by the 2018-19 team, while its 8-0 start to PacWest play was its best in program history.

Point Loma (13-4 overall, 8-1 PacWest), tied atop the PacWest standings with Azusa Pacific, returns home on Saturday to host Chaminade at 2 p.m. in Golden Gym.
