Lewis Crossover Challenge

(ROMEOVILLE, Ill.) PLNU Women's Cross Country split its squad this past weekend to race in two meets in its final prep before the PacWest Championships.
Point Loma placed 14th out of 36 teams at the Lewis Crossover Challenge on Saturday in Illinois, with
Maddie Reeves (10th place – 21:49.49) posting her third top-10 finish in as many races this season.
Zaila Smith (77th – 22:49.13),
Jocelyn Gibson (106th – 23:07.19),
Lia-Luisa Markert (119th – 23:16.25) and
Elizabeth Satterlee (125th – 23:20.41) rounded out PLNU's scoring five in the race of 337 runners.
The Sea Lions finished fourth out of 21 squads at the Manny Bautista Invite on Friday in San Diego at NTC Park. PLNU was led by
Melanie Ramos (24th – 20:11.28) and
Eliana Perks (27th – 20:16.93), while
Megan Collard (36th – 20:29.48) also crossed the finish line in the top-40.
Point Loma has a weekend off from competition before competing in the PacWest Championships on Oct. 25 in Waipahu, Oahu at the Hawai'i Country Club.
