(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Soccer midfielder Grace Nelson was named the PacWest Player of the Week on Monday after her match-winning performance for Point Loma against Menlo.
 
In PLNU's PacWest opener on Thursday, Nelson scored twice in the first half to lift the Sea Lions to a 4-0 victory over the Oaks.

The junior opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a first-time finish off Alyssa Ketcham's cross.
 
She then scored once more in the 31st minute to give PLNU a 3-0 halftime lead, this time with an impressive volley from Emma Majors' service.
 
Nelson's two-goal performance was the first of her Sea Lions' career.

Point Loma (4-2-1 overall, 1-0 PacWest) returns to the field on Saturday at Concordia. Kickoff in Irvine is scheduled for 4 p.m.
