(COSTA MESA, Calif.) No. 7 PLNU Men's Basketball completed a perfect season-opening weekend, rolling past Cal State San Bernardino by an 87-66 margin on Saturday to finish the PacWest/CCAA Conference Challenge unbeaten at 2-0.

After leading by six at halftime, Point Loma outscored its opponents by 15 points in the second half for the second-straight game.

The Sea Lions shot 13-for-27 (.481) from 3-point range in the game, with
Caden Harris and
James Nobles each making four triples apiece.

Harris led all scorers with his 21 points off the bench, as he also made seven of the team's 12 free throws.

James Nobles (16 points),
Andrew Nagy (12 points, 13 rebounds) and
Jaden Matingou (12 points) also scored in double figures, with
Tyce Paulsen and
Andrew Hommes each scoring nine points apiece to nearly make it six Sea Lions with double-digit points.

PLNU dominated in points in the paint, 36-22, and fastbreak points, 18-3.

Point Loma has now beaten the two teams it played in last year's NCAA West Regional semifinals and championship, after also defeating No. 12 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday.

The Sea Lions will host Cal State San Marcos on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Golden Gym in the team's first home game of the season.
