(SEATTLE) No. 4 PLNU Men's Basketball scored its most points in any half this season, doing so in the first half against Central Washington on Friday as Point Loma rolled to a 94-78 victory over CWU on day one of the SPU Thanksgiving Classic.

The Sea Lions scored 53 points in the first half against the Wildcats to take a 12-point advantage into the locker room.

PLNU led by double digits the rest of the way, extending its lead to as many as 23 in the second half, as Point Loma continued its impressive unbeaten start to the season that includes three wins against NCAA West Regional teams from last year.

James Nobles and
Andrew Hommes each scored a game-high 21 points, while
Jaden Matingou joined them in double figures with 15 points.

Eleven Sea Lions scored in the game, including
Jake Lifgren (five points) who played in his first game since January 10, 2024 when he suffered his first of two back-to-back season-ending injuries.

PLNU committed only five turnovers in the game, outscoring CWU 23-10 in points off turnovers. The Sea Lions also held advantages in points in the paint (40-32) and fast break points (14-4).

Point Loma (5-0 overall) plays at Seattle Pacific (2-1) on Saturday at 4:15 p.m., with the winner claiming the SPU Thanksgiving Classic title.
