(SAN DIEGO)
Luke Haupt's go-ahead basket with 3.4 seconds remaining lifted No. 8 PLNU Men's Basketball to a 69-67 victory over Menlo that clinched the outright PacWest title for Point Loma.

The Sea Lions led by as many as 17 early in the second half before the Oaks stormed back to tie the game twice late.

However, Haupt hit a pair of go-ahead baskets in in the final minute of regulation in response to both of Menlo's tying buckets.

On what proved to be the game-winner, Haupt drove past his defender into the lane and finished through contact with a contested right-handed layup.

The Sea Lions then prevented the Oaks from getting off a final shot attempt, as the hosts held on to clinch the conference title for themselves.

Haupt led all scorers with 23 points, while
Tyce Paulsen joined him in double figures with 11 points.
Coby Barnes and
Andrew Hommes each added eight points apiece.

Point Loma (24-5 overall, 17-2 PacWest), winners of four straight, will look to avenge its most recent defeat at Westmont with a Senior Day matchup against the Warriors on Saturday.

Tip-off in Golden Gym is scheduled for 4 p.m.
