WARRIORS TAKE PACWEST SERIES FROM SEA LIONS

(SANTA BARBARA, Calif.) No. 8 PLNU Baseball remains in second place in the PacWest standings after No. 5 Westmont defeated the Sea Lions in both games of Saturday's conference doubleheader to win the series.

The Warriors scored the first nine runs of Saturday's first game, but the visitors stormed back and made a game of it, scoring seven runs in the final four innings.

Jake Entrekin, who had homered in six straight games entering Saturday, got PLNU on the board with an RBI-single to left as part of a four-run sixth inning, which was capped by Darren Cho's run-scoring base hit.

Aiden Arriaga then blasted a three-run home run to right to get the Sea Lions to within three.

However, Westmont held Point Loma scoreless over the next eight combined innings, limiting PLNU to just four hits in game two.

Point Loma (15-7 overall, 11-5 PacWest) returns to Carroll B. Land Stadium on Friday to host Concordia in a PacWest doubleheader beginning at noon.
