(HONOLULU) No. 25 PLNU Baseball took both games of Saturday's doubleheader at Chaminade, 8-6 and 4-3, to complete a four-game sweep of the Silverswords and conclude its trip to Hawai'i on a six-game winning streak.
Â
Point Loma scored a pair of runs in the ninth inning of game one to break a 6-6 tie, with
Bryson Hashimoto's walk scoring what proved to be the winning run.
Â
Tommy Molina had three hits in the first game and added a pair of RBIs, as did
Jake Schwartz.
Â
Brock Mayer was then stellar on the mound in game two, throwing 6.1 innings and striking out seven without allowing an earned run.
Â
Molina and Schwartz had multiple hits in the nightcap once again, while
Luke Reece's RBI-single through the right side scored the eventual game-winning run in the top of the sixth.
Â
Michael Sarhatt earned the save in both victories.
