(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Cross Country has improved its placement at the PacWest Championships from the previous year four seasons running.
 
The conference coaches expect the Sea Lions to take another step forward in 2025.
 
Point Loma was picked to finish second in the PacWest Preseason Poll, announced on Friday, just behind reigning conference champion Biola. The Sea Lions received one first place vote, with Biola claiming the other 11.

PLNU placed third at last year's conference meet, its best finish since 2018.
 
The Sea Lions return program 6K record holder Maddie Reeves and fellow All-Conference performers Zaila Smith and Elizabeth Satterlee.
 
The team brings back 12 runners in total from last season and welcomes 10 newcomers.
 
Point Loma opens its 2025 campaign on Sep. 13 at the Cougar Challenge, which is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. in San Marcos.
