(SAN DIEGO) For the second straight year, PLNU Women's Soccer will open its season ranked in the top-10 nationally.
 
Coming off a second straight Sweet 16 appearance, which includes its 2023 national title, Point Loma will begin its 2025 campaign ranked No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Preseason Poll.

After winning the 2023 national championship, the first NCAA national title for any PLNU team, the Sea Lions began the 2024 season ranked No. 1.
 
Point Loma then went on to match its record from that national title team, going 17-3-1 while claiming a fifth PacWest crown in six years. PLNU also won the inaugural PacWest Tournament before losing to eventual national champion Cal Poly Pomona in the West Regional championship, 2-1 in overtime.
 
The Sea Lions have made six straight NCAA regional appearances and have reached at least the second round in each of those times.
