(POMONA, Calif.) PLNU Men's Soccer battled No. 18 Cal Poly Pomona to a 3-3 draw on the road in a six-goal thriller on Saturday night.
"It was a top game with two top teams going toe-to-toe," Head Coach
Phil Wolf said. "Proud of the performance but a lot of things to work on. We need to tighten up the back and concede less as we move through the season."
Cole Friesen scored a pair of first half goals just three-and-a-half minutes apart in the 20th and 24th minutes of play to put the Sea Lions in front.
Friesen, who recorded an assist against Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday, opened his account for Point Loma with the help of assists from

Simon Sagal.
After the Sea Lions took their 2-0 lead into the halftime break, the Broncos responded in the second half with two quickfire goals in the 59th and 61st.
Elijah Langford answered back with his second goal in as many games to put PLNU back ahead in the 70th.
However, the hosts responded once more in the 72nd to tie the game again and ultimately round out the scoring.
