JOHN ELDERS TITAN INVITE RESULTS

(FULLERTON, Calif.) PLNU Women's Cross Country placed second at the John Elders Titan Invite on Friday in the team's final tuneup for the PacWest Championships, as two Sea Lions moved into the top-10 in program history in the 6K.

Point Loma posted its best placement in any meet this year right before the postseason gets underway, surpassing its fourth-place finish at the Cougar Challenge (Oct. 3) and fifth-place spot at the Aztec Coastal Classic (Sep. 3).

Michelle Ramos led the Sea Lions by placing fifth overall in a time of 21:14.4, jumping her up to third all-time in program history in the 6K.

Megan Collard followed her in 10th, crossing the line in 21:37.6 to move up to 10th in PLNU history.

Sarah Kim (14th – 21:57.1), Georgia Ficco (17th – 22:00.6) and Julia Ferreira (20th – 22:09.2) joined them in the top-20, with Heidi Manson (24th – 22:16.4) and Eliana Perks (27th – 22:21.9) close behind.

That came after the team's 17th place finish at the Highlander Invite on Oct. 17, with Ramos also finishing as the top Sea Lion in the race.

Point Loma will compete next at the PacWest Championships on Nov. 8.
