(ROCKLIN, Calif.) PLNU Women's Soccer scored its most goals in a single game in the program's NCAA era, routing Jessup by a 7-1 margin on Thursday morning.

Point Loma's seven goals are its most since scoring seven against St. Ambrose on Aug. 26, 2006. The all-time program record is eight goals, which came against Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) on Sep. 25, 2004.

Seven different Sea Lions scored in total, with
Juliet Thrapp,
Madison Khan and
Riley Johnson finding the back of the net for the first time in their PLNU careers.

Point Loma scored the first four goals of the game, with Thrapp (8:10),
Emma Naftzger (19:46), Khan (23:43) and
Gianna Masinter (27:00) giving the Sea Lions a four-goal cushion within the first 27 minutes.

Jessup scored its lone goal of the game in the 37th minute before
Maddy Saruwatari (51:27), Johnson (59:05) and
Grace Nelson (62:02) rounded out the rout with goals in the second half.

Naftzger scored for the second straight game, while Saruwatari scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season.

Nelson assisted on each of the first two goals, with Saruwatari and
Nikki Ross also assisting on goals.

PLNU outshot Jessup 21-5 and 12-4 in shots on goal.

Kickoff on Thursday was moved up to 10 a.m. because of the heat.

Point Loma (5-2-5 overall, 2-0-2 PacWest), still unbeaten in conference play, closes out its Northern California trip with a game at Dominican on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a rematch of last year's conference tournament championship.
