(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Men's Tennis was competitive in a season-opening defeat to NCAA Division I Wofford on Saturday, as Wofford defeated Point Loma by a score of 5-2.
 
The Sea Lions' two points came via singles victories from Stanislas Noel and David Fisinger.
 
Fisinger cruised at No. 4, winning in straight sets (6-3, 6-0), while Noel won in a super tiebreak at No. 1 – 6-3, 3-6 (12-10).
 
Finn Kirschner forced a super tiebreak at No. 2 by winning the second set in dominant fashion, 6-2.
 
Point Loma (0-1 overall) travels to play at Azusa Pacific on Saturday at 2 p.m.
