PLNU ALLOWS FEWEST POINTS IN A GAME THIS SEASON

(HONOLULU) PLNU Women's Basketball allowed its fewest points in any game this season in Tuesday's 73-43 win at Chaminade to begin its three-game trip to Hawai'i.

The Sea Lions held the Silverswords to single digits in each of the first and second quarters to take a 24-point halftime advantage.

PLNU then stretched its lead to as many as 34 in the second half, as Point Loma's eventual 30-point margin of victory ties its largest win of the season.

Emma Sales led the team with a career-high 14 points, while Maddie Morrow also scored her most points (13) in a Sea Lions uniform. Ruby Vlahov joined them in double figures with 11 points.

All 10 Sea Lions scored for the second-straight game, as the visitors outscored the hosts 29-2 in bench points.

Eiley Tippins and Maddie Mersch each brought down 10 rebounds apiece.

Point Loma (17-5 overall, 13-3 PacWest) is tied atop the conference standings with six regular season games remaining.

PLNU continues its trip to the Aloha State on Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. PT / 4:30 p.m. HT matchup at Hawai'i Pacific.
