The Sea Lions scored 48 first-half points and were dominant in points in the paint, 34-14, to take a nine-point lead going into the locker room.

Hannah Golan's fastbreak layup extended PLNU's advantage to as many as 13 in the third quarter, before Point Loma led by eight going into the fourth.

CUI fought back behind a heroic 45-point performance from Asia Darcuiel to go ahead with under two minutes to play in the final period for its first lead since early in the second quarter.

Izzy Navarro then tied the game with a free throw and PLNU got a stop at the other end to get the ball back for one final possession, but the Sea Lions were unable to get a shot off, as the two teams headed to overtime.

The Golden Eagles then outscored the hosts 12-6 in the extra period to put a dent in PLNU's PacWest title aspirations.

Golan led the team with a career-high 21 points, while
Eiley Tippins scored 15 points.
Ruby Vlahov had a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds, with Navarro scoring 12 points.

Point Loma (19-7 overall, 15-5 PacWest) is now 1.5 games behind first-placed Vanguard with only two regular season games left for the Sea Lions.
