(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Tennis extended its winning streak to seven matches with a pair of wins over the weekend, 7-0 over Stanton on Friday and 5-2 against NCAA Division I Colgate on Monday.
After winning every match in straight sets against Stanton, Point Loma won on five of six singles courts against Colgate.
The Sea Lions claimed singles victories on courts 2-6, three of which came in two sets.
Zoe Moley (No. 5), Perla Conde Vendrell (No. 4) and Emely Valencia Andrejeva (No. 3) all won in straight sets, with Anna Pallencaoe (No. 2) and Melissa Zirkle (No. 6) winning their matches in three.
Moley also won in straight sets against Stanton, including one set without losing a single game.
Zirkle, Moley and Valencia Andrejeva all are tied for the team lead with eight singles victories on the season, to match PLNU's win total as a team.
Point Loma (8-2 overall) looks to keep its winning streak alive when it hosts Cal State LA on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The Sea Lions previously defeated the Golden Eagles, 6-1, in Los Angeles on Feb. 24.
