(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Tennis completed a season sweep of Cal State LA on Wednesday afternoon, shutting out the Golden Eagles by a 7-0 margin in a match that lasted less than two hours.
 
The Sea Lions' 7-0 victory is their second in three matches, as Point Loma outscored CSULA 13-1 across their two meetings this season.
 
Melissa Zirkle and Zoe Moley didn't lose a single game at No. 3 doubles, with Anna Pallencaoe and Emely Valencia Andrejeva clinching the doubles point with their 6-1 victory at No. 1.
 
Alina Kupfer (No. 1) and Pallencaoe (No. 3) both won their first sets 6-1 before their opponents retired. Zoe Moley (No. 6) also won via retirement, winning 6-0 in set one and leading 2-1 in the second.
 
Perla Conde Vendrell (No. 4) and Zirkle (No. 5) won by identical 6-1, 6-0 margins before Valencia Andrejeva (No. 2) completed the sweep with her 6-2, 6-2 straight-set victory.
 
Point Loma (9-2 overall) will look to reach double-digit victories on the season and continue its eight-match winning streak when PLNU hosts Biola on Saturday at 11 a.m.
