(COSTA MESA, Calif.) No. 12 PLNU Baseball completed its third-straight sweep to open PacWest play after taking both games of Monday's doubleheader at Vanguard.
 
Point Loma won the first game, 11-4, before prevailing 6-5 in game two to extend its best ever start to its PacWest schedule.
 
Aiden Arriaga homered in the top of the first to give the Sea Lions a lead in game one they wouldn't relinquish.
 
PLNU scored three in the sixth and another four in the seventh to pull away, providing more than enough run support for starter Glen Huggins (5 IP, 2 R).
 
Josiah Rodriguez had four hits in game one and another two in the second game, during which the Sea Lions jumped out to a 6-1 lead.
