Stanislas Noel was named the PacWest Newcomer of the Year, highlighting PLNU Men's Tennis' All-Conference honorees which were announced on Tuesday evening.
Noel was also selected to the All-PacWest Singles First Team and All-PacWest Doubles First Team. He is joined on the All-PacWest Singles Team by
David Fisinger (Second Team), and the All-PacWest Doubles Team by partner
Finn Kirschner (First Team) as well as the duo of Fisinger and
Marcos Alogo-Piqueras (Third Team).
Noel is PLNU's third ever PacWest Newcomer of the Year, joining Thomas Dafcik (2018) and Tales Silva (2021).
The Edinoboro University transfer has a 9-6 overall record at No. 1 singles this spring following his ITA West Regional quarterfinals appearance in the fall.
Noel and Kirschner have combined to go 8-6 at No. 1 doubles this season, after Kirschner reached the ITA West Regional doubles quarterfinals.
Fisinger leads PLNU in singles wins this season with 11, with six of those coming at No. 2. He repeats as an All-PacWest doubles honoree, this time with partner Alogo-Piqueras, as PLNU's No. 2 duo have gone 7-2 as partners.
Point Loma (7-10 overall) opens the PacWest Championships in Surprise, Arizona on Wednesday morning, as the fourth-seeded Sea Lions will play No. 5 seed Hawai'i Hilo in the first round at 9 a.m.
The winner will advance to Thursday morning's quarterfinals against No. 1 seed Azusa Pacific.
