(SURPRISE, Ariz.) No. 4 seed PLNU Men's Tennis defeated No. 3 seed Hawai'i Pacific, 4-2, in the PacWest Third Place Match on Friday morning to finish third in the conference for the third time in four seasons.

HPU won the doubles point despite
Finn Kirschner and
Stanislas Noel winning 6-2 on Court No. 1, but the Sea Lions responded by winning four of the five singles matches that were completed in straight sets.

Paul Sobich cruised at No. 5, winning 6-3, 6-0, while Noel (No. 1 – 6-3, 6-2) and
David Fisinger (No. 2 – 6-4, 6-2) also prevailed to give PLNU a 3-2 lead in the match.

Marcos Alogo-Piqueras then clinched the victory, just as he did in Wednesday's first round win against Hawai'i Hilo, with his 7-5, 7-5 triumph at No. 4.

Kirschner was also leading 6-1, 5-7, 3-2 at No. 3 singles when Alogo-Piqueras sealed the Sea Lions' victory.
With the win, Point Loma ties its best ever finish at the PacWest Championships, as PLNU also placed third at the conference tournament in 2023 and 2025.
