(AZUSA, Calif.) No. 4 seed PLNU Men's Tennis had its 2026 season conclude on Tuesday afternoon in the NCAA West Regional with a 4-0 defeat to No. 1 seed Azusa Pacific.

Marcos Alogo-Piqueras and
Rhyson Chiang broke APU's serve to lead 4-3 at No. 3 doubles when the Cougars clinched the doubles point with victories on Courts No. 1 and 2.

Alogo-Piqueras (No. 4) and
David Fisinger (No. 2) held late leads in the first sets of their singles matches before APU won the first set on all six singles courts.

But the Sea Lions battled in the second sets, with
Finn Kirschner jumping out to a 3-0 and then 4-1 lead on Court No. 2.

Alogo-Piqueras won his second set at No. 4, with his ace giving him a 1-0 lead before he earned back-to-back breaks to close out a 6-2 victory in the second stanza.

However, the PacWest champion Cougars earned their fourth point to advance to the NCAA Championships before Alogo-Piqueras could complete his comeback in the third set.
