(SAN DIEGO) PLNU Women's Tennis senior Alina Kupfer has had a senior year to remember.
 
Kupfer added another award to her resume this week, being named the ITA West Region Senior Player of the Year.
 
She becomes the first Sea Lion in program history to receive the recognition.

In the fall, Kupfer became the first PLNU player to win the ITA Division II West Regional singles title before translating that into a strong spring season.
 
Kupfer holds a 13-7 No. 1 singles record and a dominant 18-1 mark at No. 2 doubles, as she's currently on a 16-match winning streak.
 
The senior from Munich, Germany previously earned All-PacWest First Team singles and All-PacWest Second Team doubles honors.
 
Point Loma (18-4 overall) advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second straight season and are one of 16 teams remaining in all of NCAA Division II.
 
PLNU will play an opponent to be determined in the Round of 16 on Tuesday in Surprise, Ariz.
