(SAN DIEGO) No. 20 PLNU Volleyball put together its most complete performance of the season in a three-set sweep (25-13, 25-8, 25-13) of Vanguard on Wednesday night in Golden Gym.

Point Loma won all three sets by double digits for the first time this year, while posting its highest attack % of the season (.400).

The Sea Lions served their most aces (15) in a match in nearly five years, since Oct. 9, 2021 against Fresno Pacific when they also tallied 15 service aces.

Ila Rose, the NCAA Division II leader in service aces per set, served a career high nine aces in the match. That included five during an 8-0 PLNU run in the second stanza, which Point Loma won by 17 for its largest margin of victory in any set this year.

PLNU committed only three attacking errors in the first two sets combined, hitting .458 in the opening stanza and .500 in the second set.

Gianna Callari had four kills and Rose two more aces during a 10-2 Sea Lions' start to the third.

Point Loma later went on a 7-0 run before
Adeline Daniel's kill clinched the sweep.

Callari led all players with 11 kills on an efficient .421 attack %.
Hailey Clark (.500) and
Kyra Miles (.417) both had seven kills apiece.

Kira Federico led all players with 15 digs, as did Callari with three blocks.

Point Loma (10-4 overall, 6-2 PacWest) returns to Golden Gym on Thursday to host No. 10 Cal Poly Pomona at 6 p.m. on Dig Pink Night.
