Garret Levsen, a junior pitcher from Whittier, Calif. (Sonora HS), earned three saves, including preserving a no-hitter, as the Sea Lions swept four games from Fresno Pacific to keep their NCCAA postseason hopes alive. Levsen started the series by picking up saves in both games of Friday's doubleheader. In the first game he struck out the side as PLNU won 4-1. Then in the second he and Sam Sadler tossed the first combined no-hitter in Point Loma history. Levsen was needed for just one out but it was a big one as he came into the game with the bases loaded and got the pinch hitter to pop harmlessly to the shortstop. Then on Saturday in the nightcap Levsen was called on for a five-out save to preserve the win and get PLNU the much needed sweep. Levsen got all five out in the 4-3 game to help PLNU come away with the victory and the sweep. He now has a 1.40 ERA on the season and leads the PacWest with eight saves.
