Jessica Van Loo assisted on game-winning goal as Point Loma upset Azusa Pacific on Senior Day. Van Loo, a senior defender from Arlington, Wash. (Arlington HS), found Natalie Swift on a touch pass in the box for the first score of the match in the 43rd minute. This goal broke a streak of 917 scoreless minutes for Azusa Pacific, a streak which had lasted since Sept. 21. It was also APU's first loss in conference play this season (10-1-1). The win helped PLNU end the regular season at 9-7-1 and finished tied for fourth place in the PacWest standings with 22 points (7-4-1). The Sea Lions' season will continue this week when it hosts Bethesda in the first round of the NCCAA West Regional on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11:00 a.m.
