Mitch Wheelon, a freshman forward from Vancouver, Wash., netted his first career goal in a match against UC San Diego. The goal came on a cross from Matt Rose that went to Wheelon in the middle of the box. Wheelon left his feet and got nearly parallel to the ground as he sailed through the air to head the ball into the net. The score cut the Tritons' lead to 2-1 in the 75th minute.
