Garrett Irvin, gave up two hits over nine shutout innings against Academy of Art with 13 strikeouts. Irvin’s 13 strikeouts were a career-high as he took the no decision. The Sea Lions eventually claimed the 1-0 victory on a walk-off single by Tyler Flores in the bottom of the 11th inning. It was the second time this year that Irvin has thrown at least eight shutout innings in an outing. The performance lowered his PacWest-leading ERA to 1.41.
