The Point Loma cross country team stepped up to win the PacWest Championships. The Sea Lions, which were unranked nationally, tied No. 12 Azusa Pacific with 38 points. But because the Sea Lions 3-4-5 runners finished ahead of the Cougars' 3-4-5 runners the Sea Lions won the tiebreaker to collect their first-ever PacWest Conference Cross Country title.
