Tied at 4-all, It all came down to court six singles. That's where PLNU's Wileen Chiu won a marathon three-setter to give the No. 6 Sea Lions an upset win over No. 3-ranked Concordia Tuesday night.
PLNU improved to 6-1 overall, 5-1 GSAC with the win while the Eagles fell to 5-2, 4-2 conference.
The Sea Lions won two of three doubles points and then won two of the first three single matches to finish first. Up 4-2, PLNU watch their lead slip away with losses on courts four and five.
Chiu, who lost the first set of her match, bounced back to claim the next two sets and give the Sea Lions a huge conference victory.
PLNU plays for the third straight day on Wednesday when they host Villanova at 4:00 pm.
