SAN DIEGO -- NAIA ninth-ranked Point Loma Nazarene swept visiting Biola University 9-0 on Saturday. The Sea Lions improved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the GSAC. The Eagles drop to 0-7 in season and 0-4 in conference.
 
The doubles matches saw Loma come away with a clean 8-0 sweep on every court. The Loma parings for this match were Sharon Reibstein and Maika Adair at one, Wileen Chiu and Hope Penner at two and Kiersten Steinhauer and Michaela Johnson at three.
 
Singles told a similar story. Biola never won more than one game in any set. Playing on court one was Penner, who won 6-0, 6-1 as did Preethinka Venugopal on court three.
 
Chiu at two took her match 6-1, 6-0 and Kolbie Keifer at five did likewise. Katelyn Abayan on court four had the cleanest match with straight 6-0 sets and Johnson at six won in two 6-1 sets.
 
Next up for the Sea Lions is No. 11 Vanguard on Monday. The match is planned for 4 pm on the PLNU courts.
