WHAT'S HAPPENING:
The Point Loma women's basketball team takes the long, anticipated to Hawaii for the first time as a member of the Pacific West Conference. The Sea Lions will open with Hawaii Pacific on Saturday at 9:00 p.m. (PST) and then travel to BYU-Hawaii on Monday (Feb. 11) at 7:00 p.m. PLNU will conclude its road trip with games against Chaminade on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:00 p.m. and Hawaii Hilo on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2:00 p.m.

A LOOK AT THE SEA LIONS:
The Sea Lions have won four of their last five games to improve to 9-10 on the season. They currently stand eighth in the conference with a 5-6 record. PLNU ranks third in the conference in scoring defense (59.1), and lead the league in field goal percentage defense at .326 and in blocks with 6.7 per game. PLNU also ranks second in the PacWest in 3-point percentage (.334) and treys made per game (7.0).
Callie Rhoads leads PLNU with 13.6 points per game. She has scored in double-figures in 12 of the last 14. She has moved into 10th place in the PacWest in scoring with 13.6 ppg. She is also 10th in field goal percentage (.475), fifth in 3-pointers per game (2.5) and second in 3-point percentage (.430).
Andrea Campbell leads the PacWest with 3.3 blocks per game.
Abby Boorman is fourth with 1.9 rejections per contest.
Savannah Erskine ranks fifth in the league with 2.5 steals and second with 4.4 assists.
Carlotta Kloppenburg is tied for the PacWest lead with 2.6 treys per game.
SCOUTING HAWAII PACIFIC:
The Sea Warriors are second in the PacWest standings with a 9-2 conference record (13-4 overall). HPU has won eight of its last nine games, and five straight at home. Susannah Walmsley leads Hawaii Pacific and ranks sixth in the conference with 16.1 ppg. She is shooting .484 percent from the field and averaging 3.3 assists per game. Ieva Nagy is also averaging double-figures for the Sea Warriors with 11.2 ppg. As a team, HPU ranks third in the PacWest with 73.0 ppg, while leading the league in field goal percentage (.432) and 3-point percentage (.350).
SCOUTING BYU-HAWAII:
The Seasiders are currently holding the sixth seed in the race for the PacWest tournament with a 4-7 record (5-12 overall). They have lost three of their last four, and two straight at home. Shayla Washington leads the league with 19.6 ppg and ranks second in rebounds (11.4). She is also sixth in steals (2.3) and second in minutes (33.5). Brydgette Tatupu-Leopoldo joined the team later in the year and has been averaging 21.2 ppg.
SCOUTING CHAMINADE:
The Silverswords has lost 11 straight games and now stand 1-16 on the season (1-11 PacWest). No one from Chaminade is averaging in double-figures. Rhani Kaneaiakala leads the team with 9.9 ppg and 5.5 rebounds. Chaminade ranks second to last in the league in scoring (57.4) and also give up the most points in the league (81.4).
SCOUTING HAWAII HILO:
Hawaii Hilo is 11-7 on the season and 8-4 in the PacWest. They have won seven of their last eight games. Kamie Imai leads the team with 11.4 ppg and 7.1 rpg. As a team, UHH ranks fourth in the league in scoring defense (60.4) and second in field goal percentage (.416).
