This weekThe Point Loma women's soccer team will host its final match of the 2015 regular season on Saturday, Oct. 31 when they welcome in BYU-Hawaii for an 11:30 a.m. kickoff on Senior Day, presented by Miguel's Cocina.

Sydney Dreves each transferred into PLNU after their freshmen seasons. Miguel's Cocina will be at both the men's and women's matches giving away chips and white sauce.
A look at the Sea LionsWith Point Loma's 1-0 shutout over Hawaii Hilo on Tuesday (Oct. 27) and Concordia's tie against BYU-Hawaii, the Sea Lions moved into first place with 24 points. PLNU (11-4-0, 8-2-0 PacWest) leads Concordia in the standings by two points and Azusa Pacific by three. However, Point Loma has played one more match than both APU and CUI.
As a team, PLNU leads the PacWest in goals against average (.333) and shutout percentage (.667). The Sea Lions' 10 shutouts also pace the league and their .822 save percentage ranks fourth. Point Loma's defense has allowed just five goals on the season in 15 matches. Point Loma has also outshot its opponents 242-71, and outscored them 19-5.
Easton Kawawaki leads PLNU and is tied for ninth in the PacWest with four goals. She scored the game-winning goal against UHH in the eighth minute. She also leads the Sea Lions with nine points.
Keagan Bolibol is tied for fifth in the PacWest with four assists, and
Rachel Witz is tied for 11th with three.
Oriarte amongst the ElitePoint Loma junior
Ariel Oriarte has been among the PacWest and NCAA leaders all season. She leads the PacWest and ranks seventh in NCAA Division II allowing just .333 goals per match. She has helped PLNU shutout its opponents in .667 percent of its matches. That shutout percentage ranks PLNU 10th in the country.
Pearce named PacWest Defender of the WeekMorgan Pearce was named the PacWest Defender of the Week for the week of Oct. 19-25. Pearce was the central defender on a Point Loma defense that shut down its opponents in two road wins. The native of Danville, Calif. (San Ramon Valley HS) helped PLNU limit its opponents to just three shots, one on goal, over the two games. The pair of shutouts by the Sea Lions brought their season total to nine in 14 matches.
A look at the SeasidersBYU-Hawaii is undefeated in its last four matches, earning three wins and a tie. The Seasiders are now 5-6-3 on the season and in eighth place in the PacWest standings with a 4-3-2 record. Natalie Reynolds leads the team and ranks eighth in the PacWest with five goals on the season. She is also eighth in points (11). Five other student-athletes scored for the Seasiders this year. Goalkeeper Kelsey East is fourth in the PacWest with a .876 goals-against average and has three shutouts on the season. The Seasiders have the fourth-lowest goals-against average with 14 against this season. They are averaging 1.000 goals per game.
