AZUSA - The Point Loma women's pick up points at both No. 1 singles and doubles but that was all the points they would get on the road at Azusa Pacific as they fell 7-2 to the Cougars on Saturday, Mar. 21.
 
The No. 22 ranked Sea Lions (6-11) had the match tied at 2-2 after the No. 17 ranked Cougars (9-7) withdrew at No. 1 singles and doubles. It was then a race to see which team would be the first to pick up three match points; unfortunately it was the Cougars that beat the Sea Lions to the finish line. APU earned victories at No. 2-6 singles to take this PacWest matchup 7-2.
 
This was the second meeting of the season between PLNU and APU. The Cougars won the first meeting 5-4 in the season opener for both teams.
 
Point Loma's next match will be Saturday, Mar. 28 against Westmont at 2:00 p.m.
