SAN FRANCISCO - In a matchup of top 25 PacWest Conference teams, No. 12 Academy of Art got the best of the No. 22 Point Loma women's tennis team, 6-3, on Monday, Mar. 9.
 
ART U (4-1) took two of three doubles and four of six singles to earn the win. The loss puts the Sea Lions at 5-6 on the season.
 
Kirsty Mountain picked up one of the Sea Lions' two singles points with a 6-1 and 6-1 sweep at No. 6s. Hillary Ramage also earned a singles win for PLNU. She outlasted her opponent at No. 5 singles 6-2, 4-6 and 6-3.
 
The Sea Lions' lone point in doubles came at No. 3 where Jen Weissmann and Madeline Cunningham won in convincing fashion 8-2.
 
It will be a short turnaround for the Sea Lions who will travel to Sonoma State to face the Seawolves tomorrow morning (Mar. 10) at 10:00 a.m.
