SAN DIEGO - The No. 37 Point Loma women's tennis team fell at No. 22 UC San Diego, 7-2, in the regular season finale for the Sea Lions. (Apr. 6). PLNU completes the regular season at 9-10 while UCSD finishes at 12-9.
 
This was the second meeting of the season between the two crosstown rivals. In both matches Regina von Koch was able to win at the No. 2 position. Today she was up 4-3 in the second set before her opponent retired. Hillary Ramage also picked up a win by retirement on court 3 for another point for the Sea Lions.
 
However, PLNU was playing from behind as UCSD won all three doubles matches to jump on top early and the Sea Lions never recovered.
 
Point Loma will now prepare for the PacWest Championships in Surprise, Ariz., on Apr. 13-16. Currently the Sea Lions are the No. 4 seed in the 12-team field.
