SAN DIEGO - The No. 29 Point Loma women's tennis team continued its winning ways early in the 2017 season with a 9-0 sweep of PacWest foe Holy Names on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

The Sea Lions are now 4-1. All four victories have come via the sweep or in a one-point match. The loss drops Holy Names to 1-3.

The match opened with some tough matches in doubles but PLNU was able to pull out all three, including
Michelle Torres and
Shelby Groeneveld who earned an 8-6 win at No. 2s. Point Loma went on to win all six doubles matches in straight sets.

The Sea Lions will be back on the court at Concordia (CA) on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The match will start at 2 p.m.Â
