SAN DIEGO - The No. 24 Point Loma women's tennis team earned its fourth sweep of the season with a 9-0 victory over Colorado Mesa on Tuesday, Mar. 21.

The Sea Lions (11-4) opened the match with three convincing wins in doubles.
Nicole Camaratta and
Ellie Gamble teamed up on court 3 and put the first point on the board for the Sea Lions with an 8-1 victory.
Nikki Newell and
Regina von Koch added an 8-4 win on court 1, as did
Shelby Groeneveld and
Taylor McGowan on court 3.

Singles play was near as impressive for PLNU as it won all six matches in straight sets.

Point Loma will be back on the courts on Saturday, Mar. 25 when it hosts regional foe Cal State LA at 11 a.m. This will be the second match of the season between the two teams. PLNU won the first 5-4 in LA.Â
