#15: After a slow start to the season, the Point Loma women's basketball team rebounded in a big way. They won 12 straight games, and 15 of 16, to match their program record with 17 wins in PacWest play.
 
Their biggest win during the run came against Dominican and their All-American Natalie Diaz. Cara Liggins scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to notch her team-leading seventh double-double and help lead Point Loma over the Penguins, 82-74. PLNU opened the second half on a 13-0 to take over the lead but still found themselves down by two with just four minutes to play. Carol Schroeder responded with a layup and a 3-pointer on consecutive possessions to put the Sea Lions back in front, before Liggins secured the win with a huge defensive play and pair of clutch free throws.
 
In addition to Liggins' double-double, Schroeder and Grace Brady each added 15 points. Brady also totaled four blocks while primarily guarding Diaz. Sydney Peterson put up a solid line with 12 points, eight boards, and four assists. [Complete story]
