SAN DIEGO - James Hill joins the Point Loma men's soccer team out of Penticton Secondary School in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. The 2020 graduate is a talented defenseman that will make an impact on the backline right away. The Haverfordwest, Wales native will be majoring in Engineering Physics.

"We are excited to have James join our team after deferring enrollment in the Fall of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic," says Point Loma Head Coach Phil Wolf.  "He is a top player who has all the tools to be successful at the college level. He can feature as either a left-back or as a left-central defender. We look forward to his impact on the backline and his influence on and off the field."

Hill on why he choose PLNU: "Point Loma has allowed me to continue my sports career goals while attaining a degree. The environment and atmosphere of the school was also an attractive aspect."

Hill is the first member to be announced in the 2021 men's soccer recruiting class.
