SAN DIEGO - Luca Queiroz moves down the road from Point Loma HS to PLNU. In the 2020 season, he scored 10 goals and posted six assists in 19 games. He was named the team's MVP after leading them in both goals and assists. Queiroz also excelled on the track where he earned back-to-back Outstanding Performance of the Meet at the CIF San Diego Section Meet. He has already finished PLNU's Certificate of Completion for the University Now Program and he will be majoring in Biology.

"Like James Hill, Luca decided to defer enrollment in 2020 due to the pandemic in addition to undergoing ACL surgery in the offseason," says Head men's soccer Coach Phil Wolf. "A local Point Loma High School product, Luca is a wonderful left-footed technician who can play in several positions. Once he gets to full fitness, we anticipate him playing either in the left-wing or left-back positions."

Queiroz on why he choose PLNU: "I chose PLNU because it is a Christian school with a beautiful campus and an amazing education. Their soccer team is great and I just feel so blessed that I will be attending PLNU in the fall. The opportunity to play soccer at PLNU is a dream coming true for me."

Queiroz joins Hill in the 2021 men's soccer recruiting class.
