SAN DIEGO – Coming off an incredible run in 2021, the Point Loma Men's Soccer team is adding an impactful pair in forward Sam Tuscano and midfielder Oliver Padilla, head coach
Phil Wolf announced Tuesday.
"We are excited to add these two, mid-year." Wolf said of the incomers. "We cannot wait to work with them."
Grad transfer Sam Tuscano is a two-time first-team All-GSAC performer at Westmont College. Tuscano led the Warriors in points each of the last two seasons while racking up 43 points in his four years in Santa Barbara.
"Sam is a proven contributor at the college level as he has just finished up an outstanding career at Westmont College." Wolf said. "Sam is an All-GSAC performer who brings a great attacking presence on either wing. We are incredibly honored that he would choose Point Loma to play his final year of college soccer."
In the midfield, the Sea Lions bring in Carlsbad, CA native Oliver Padilla. The 2021 graduate played locally for the San Diego Surf ECNL.
"Oliver is a player that we have been recruiting for a couple of years and we are excited that he is finally here." Wolf said. "He is a talented player that can feature in a number of positions. We believe that he is going to have a massive impact on our team on and off the field."
Point Loma finished 11-4-1 in the 2021 season with an 8-2 PacWest record.
