Two-time PacWest Conference Player of the Year Kaden Anderson also earned first-team honors, after propelling Point Loma Nazarene University to a 21-9 record and the 2021-22 PacWest regular-season title. Anderson ranked third in the region in both scoring at 20.6 points per game and rebounding at 9.2 boards per game while completing nine double-doubles. Anderson thrice reached 30 points in a game, including a season-high 35 on Jan. 6 against the Academy of Art. Anderson's Sealions square off against Azusa Pacific on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the opening round of the regional championship.

Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year Xavier Smith earned his way onto the first team after averaging 18.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game for the high-octane Wildcats. Smith scored in double figures in all but two games during his senior season and reached a season-high 32 points against Western Washington on Jan. 29.

First-team all-region selection Blake Seits is a week removed from leading Cal State San Marcos to its first-ever CCAA Championship title and was named the tournament Most Valuable Player after leading the Cougars in scoring in all three tournament games. Seits is averaging 17.0 points and 4.8 rebounds through the first 24 games for the Cougars, who face Alaska on Friday at 4 p.m. after going 20-4 during the regular season.

The west region's second-leading scorer was the fifth and final selection to the first team, as Brandon Knapper of Cal State San Bernardino averaged 21.3 points per game to lead the CCAA. Knapper led the Coyotes to the 2021-22 CCAA regular-season title, with his 81 made threes ranking second in the region.

The lone team with multiple all-region selections, CSUSB featured its top big man on the D2CCA second team in senior forward Daytone Jennings. The second-leading rebounder in the west region, Jennings has hauled in 9.3 boards while chipping in 14.3 points per game on his way to 11 double-doubles. Knapper and Jennings lead the eighth-ranked Coyotes into their first-round NCAA west region matchup against Cal Poly Pomona on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

First-team All-GNAC selection Divant'e Moffitt of Seattle Pacific University garnered second-team all-region recognition, after ranking second in the conference with 19.3 points per game. Moffitt's 103 assists (3.8 per game) ranked seventh in the west region.

Tied for second in the GNAC in rebounding with 8.4 boards per game, University of Alaska Anchorage senior Oggie Pantovic found his name listed on the second team as well. A key big man for the Seawolves, who went 15-9 on the season, Pantovic averaged 15.9 points while converting field goals at a clip of 54.4 percent on the season.

The GNAC's lone representative in this year's west regional, the University of Alaska got there thanks to the stellar play of second-team selection Shadeed Shabazz. The senior guard was named the GNAC Championships MVP, after leading the Nanooks – the No. 10 seed – to their first title since 2005. Shabazz was the conference's leading scorer with 20.6 points per game and topped 40 points in a game on two different occasions.

The only underclassman to earn all-region honors was University of Hawaii-Hilo freshman Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones, who led the Vulcans with 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in his second collegiate season. Tait-Jones had seven double-doubles and scored a season-high 30 points against Concordia on Jan. 24.
